An Air Force Veteran, long term care consultant, and Mother of two, Jeanette has been an avid yogini since 1993. Her study of yoga, philosophy, meditation and pranayama have continually expanded the realms of grace and beauty in her life. With over eighteen years of experience in long term care, she has long been inspired to work toward enhancing the health and relieving the suffering of others. Personal experience and serious injury led Jeanette toward a deeper study and understanding of the science of yoga and the healing it can bring. She completed an academically rigorous 230 hour yoga teacher training with Kula-Kamala-Yoga and is now enrolled in their 500 hour Yoga Therapist training as well as Kripalu’s School of Ayurveda. She received her Level IV certification as a Thai Massage Practitioner from the Triple Gem School of Thai Massage. Jeanette is certified through Yoga Alliance and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Jeanette’s classes are alignment oriented and heart centered. They focus on intention, devotion and balance and offer an environment that is both challenging and soothing. Her philosophy begins with the belief that the body and breath are intimately connected with the mind, and that the ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda enhance well being on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Jeanette also works with special needs populations applying the technique of yoga in therapeutic ways that promote healing inside and out.
